Hi! Thanks for looking in. Let’s not muck about with a bio written in the third person. Obviously, this is still ME here.

What you need to know is that, while my recent background is working business in the financial sector as an analyst or programmer, prior to that I was in sales and marketing of B2B (business-to-business) products. Consumer goods companies spend a fortune on marketing; the B2B companies I worked with didn’t.

Their marketing departments were much smaller, so it was easier to contribute and to get the full (sometimes horrifying) picture of what was going on. Over the years I’ve written everything from sales letters for top management through technical documentation and (now and then) articles in professional magazines.

It’s been a good base for what I’m doing now: working with an early-stage startup, writing marketing copy, running a Twitter account for a professional group, and doing occasional presentations on technical and marketing topics.
